Community

Whether your special person comes home or moves into a supported environment, they may continue with therapy through community rehabilitation. This is a system of support that helps people recover from brain injuries while living in the community, whether at home or in another setting that meets their needs. Community rehabilitation involves a team of healthcare professionals, like doctors and allied health therapists, who work together to create a personalised recovery plan. This plan might include physical therapy to rebuild strength and movement, cognitive therapy to support thinking and memory, and emotional support to help with the ups and downs of recovery.

The goal is to help your special person regain independence, take part in daily and meaningful activities, and stay connected with others. Community rehabilitation makes recovery a shared journey, with support every step of the way.
