A stroke (ischemic) is a completely or partially blocked blood vessel, restricting blood supply.

A haemorrhage is a stroke that isn’t related to blockage of an artery. It’s bleeding through a new opening in an artery wall or bursting of an aneurysm.

An aneurysm is a bulging or weakening in the wall of a blood vessel

Haemorrhages can happen in different parts of the brain.
